Missionary Update (July 2022)
Agape has been serving the Armenia and Kashatagh region of Artsakh for 30 years,
providing the only humanitarian aid relief in this region. Our support provides help for building schools, keeping medical clinics running and supporting orphanages/ children’s homes.
In September 2020 terrorists launched a full-scale aggression against Artsakh and left 100,000 people without homes and most of Artsakh was leveled to the ground. There was significant damage to the Agape Center’s property. They were able to move the humanitarian aid to a safer place in order to help resettled families. Now they are also helping fleeing Ukrainians. Our support means that thousands of families can start over for the second time in their lifetime.
Nara is supported by Long’s Chapel through the Western North Carolina Conference. There are collection centers throughout the state and supplies will be sent at the end of September. There are teams going to Armenia Sept 6-23 if anyone would like to go on a mission trip. They covet our prayers for peace and Nara sends her “love and deepest gratitude for everything our congregation has done.” If anyone is interested in more info about trip, contact Sandy Fogarty.
